ABOUT ME

Hello all! My name is Manuel Magpapian and I am a candidate for the LA Democratic Party’s County Central Committee for the 44thAssembly District! I was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Glendale 12 years ago where I currently live with my wife. Throughout the many years of my life I have dedicated myself to activism and making my community a better place.

 

I have been involved in various organizations such as being President of the Southern California Armenian Democrats, member of the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley and the LA County Democratic Party, board member for the Armenian National Committee of America-Glendale and interned with the Armenian National Committee of America Western Region, Executive Boardmember for the YWCA of Glendale and Pasadena, and Vice President of the Glendale Parks and Open Space Foundation among others. I have dedicated many hours into these organizations because I like to give back to my community and fight for a better environment and community for everyone.

 

However, in order to ensure our community becomes a better place for everyone, we have to ensure that the Democratic party becomes a party that works for everyone. The County Central Committee is the official governing body of the LA Democratic Party. This means that the Central Committee is responsible for how the LA Democratic Party will look like in the near future. In order to ensure that the party goes down the right path, we need compassionate, dedicated, and thoughtful leadership to ensure that the LA Democratic Party becomes a party that works for everyone. I think that I can be that person. Please join me in my fight to make the party a better party for everyone."
